What is an insulated container?

An insulated container is a standard container with a thermal insulation layer added to the walls, ceiling, and floor. It is not actively cooled like a reefer. Insulated containers keep contents at outside temperature with reduced temperature swing. They suit goods sensitive to heat or cold but not needing precise temperature control.

Did you know?
An insulated container can sometimes outperform an uninsulated container even without heating or cooling equipment. Slower temperature changes often create a more stable environment for stored goods.
