Standard on more than 95% of our freezer storage rental containers, this easy-to-use platform can be accessed via computer, tablet or smartphone and provides total control of any ArcticStore freezer containers (including SuperStores, ArcticBlast and UltraFreezers) within your cold storage network.
SmartArctic enables remote functionality for your freezer containers, such as temperature set point changes, defrosting, performance monitoring, status reporting, and trend analysis. You can also log file downloads and configure alarm notifications from anywhere in the world.

REEFER CONTAINERS ARE A RESPONSIBLE WAY TO CHILL IN A WARMING PLANET
Reefer containers not only benefit your business but also contribute positively to the environment. Climate change is affecting all of us. From a business standpoint, it represents a significant challenge – not least when current Government policy dictates that New Zealand must be Net Zero by 2050. NZ businesses currently account for around one third of the country’s entire energy use.
So how can you keep goods chilled or frozen with a clear conscience when refrigeration requires significant amounts of energy?
TITAN Containers’ reefer containers were developed by leading specialists in the fields of insulation and refrigeration. All reefer container hire models have a comparatively low CO2 footprint, which is achieved through the latest-generation refrigeration equipment that enables energy efficiency, plus high-performing insulation materials.
Most reefer container hire units also come with an optional ‘economy’ mode, which allows them to operate at a lower fan speed, further reducing total energy use.
GO GREENER WITH OUR NEW ARCTIC TROPICAL COLLECTION
What if we could make our already energy-efficient range of ArcticStore containers even kinder on the environment and our customers’ bottom line? That was the challenge we put to our engineers in 2019 as part of TITAN’s ongoing quest to help businesses lower their carbon footprint and reduce their energy bills.
The result is ArcticStore Tropical – so named because of the original concept of reducing power consumption in tropical zones with year-round hotter climates. If you were to turn an ArcticStore Tropical off when the temperature was at -40°C, it would take almost 50% longer to warm up to zero degrees than an original design ArcticStore container.
Under controlled testing, the heat leakage at 20°C K20, W/m2 K was reduced by as much as 50% – and by an average of 30%. Proof positive of its phenomenal improved insulation values.
What this means to a business is less energy use overall. With the insulated walls acting as an incredibly effective barrier against external temperatures, you can maintain the internal temperature you need using less electricity.
In tests of the electric consumption over 24hrs at an ambient 25℃, while keeping the temperature at -40℃ – measured by an exterior electricity meter – the kWh was reduced by an average of 13-14%. Please get in touch with our specialist team for more details.

While many customers prefer to rent portable cold store solutions from us, we are, of course, happy to accommodate clients who have the need or desire to purchase.
We offer brand new (never used), lightly used and older rental fleet units. Depending on the quality required, lead-time is normally between 10 – 90 days. If you need cold storage faster than this, we can supply you with a rental solution for the interim period at a discount.
Supplementary services and support like SmartArctic remain available, subject to additional fees.
